Since it’s been so long, a reminder: Speudon’s visitor is Nonia, wife of Nonius, the gent who is boss of the Blues (and host of frequent incognito imperial visitors). She’s a take-charge sort of lady.
Calatoria has taken to bed with a peculiar stomach ailment.
Speudon is always this way.
So is the sort of stomach-ailment one gets from eating too much heavy metal? Arsenic comes to mind… hot lead would be fun, but that’s years off.
She just can’t shake whatever was in that wine. I recommend a heavy course of antibiotics.
I’m sure she’s been keeping up her grooming every day even while ill with some lovely lead-white foundation makeup.
