Just an impression that it should be suggestive, but I can’t for the life of me think of anything it could plausibly be suggesting. Maybe the correct way to stuff dormice?
I dunno, I can’t for the life of me guess what the gesture means, I wouldna worry. tbh, a wee bit of skin is kind of expected in stories of Rome, so no worries!
