While drawing today’s comic, I was thinking again about what I wrote in this post:

In working on facial expressions, I learned that I move my eyes in the opposite way from how people are “supposed” to (rather, tend to) shift their gazes when remembering something they’ve seen as opposed to imagining something. Hmmm…I wonder if this makes me look shifty-eyed?

I’ve realised that, if I’m trying to figure out a facial expression or a pose, I tend to mimic it in mirror image. I’m not sure what this says about whether my brain has been retrained to work backward. Maybe it’ a profound observation of the artistic process. Or just a wonky personal quirk.
