I’ve occasionally had the Mus/Damon confusion–all those Roman haircuts don’t help tell the guys apart, do they?–but you’ve done pert’ well with Damon’s bony chin, hollower cheeks (a lifetime of stress can do that even when he’s better fed), lankier hair, and sullen hangdog look.
If Our Guy ever manages to get Damon properly fed and settled, of course, the differences may fade, but I think Damon’s face will always be tighter around the bone. Even if we wish it didn’t have to be.
And of course there’s the movie tradition of giving the less lawful twin (yes, I DO know they’re unrelated) a facial scar.
Too bad Rome’s the wrong place for persistent facial hair. 😉
Mus has outgrown his gangly phase but he’d always have had a well-fed face 😀 Now in Domitian’s imperial court he can wear fashionable sideburns, so that should help too….
I have photo references of some sculptures justifying Felix’s side part. But most of the barbershops around Rome are giving all the guys the same haircut before threatening to scrape the stubble off their faces with dull knives.
A few decades later, and everybody could have a big curly beard. Knowing Damon, though, he’ll get himself into some trouble sooner or later where he can acquire a seriously dashing facial scar.

This is clearly Mus, from demeanor and expression. He’s got that thoughtful wariness. Damon has raw feral sneakyness.
And I still get the spinal chills at how Domitian scares the hell out of people who survived Vesuvius, and how well you portray that.
I particularly like the sideburns: reminds me of Star Trek. Glad to see a new comic up. Hail Klio!
