Chapter V: LXXI
I’m setting this up to post automatically in the morning, but right now it’s the middle of the night for me, and I’m suddenly awfully sleepy, so, something something something um, yeah, ::sleep time::
In case you missed it, there’s a sketch-of-the-day comic before this one, which you can click the left-pointing finger of the colossus of Constantine to get to.
I’m not married but I am told that children had derailed more than one romantic night. Hehehehe. I hope Felix finds a place to sleep alone.
That picture of mother and daughter sleeping together deserves to be a poster.
Alexander is risking a lot, out of fear of this new “killer” praetorian. I hope for all their sakes that they do not get caught. I’m afraid that Domitian has something in store for his “killer” praetorian and his recovering guest.
Domitian has too many toys; maybe someone will give him something new and distracting so he’ll get tired of the old ones. Like a new archery set, or an empire.
Sort’a figured that “Come find me” in the 2/12 strip would not turn out as Felix hoped.
Oh, yeah. Been there, slept on that sofa…
Felix is lucky that the little one is a good sleeper AND that Iusta got her to sleep singlehanded. I used to have to provide my pinky finger as a pacifier when our son was tiny and my bride needed to get some sleep.
I would just assume that Baby Antonia gnawed on Iusta’s braid for a while before falling asleep. Which I hope won’t lead to hairballs. Anyway, she should be just about old enough to be able to sleep through the night.
Braids work for puppies. I’m actually not sure of the effectiveness on human babies.
I think Irenaeus is starting to figure things out.
He’s slow but…steady.
