24-Hour Comics Day 2010, hour 1
The weekend of October 2-3 was 24-Hour Comics Day, which was a great incentive to get back to drawing Romans. I’ll post the results starting tonight. Since I’m a little rusty, I started off with a drawing exercise, studying angles & framing using examples from Urasawa, Gipi, and Alex Alice for inspiration. The goal was 24 panels in the first hour; it came out to 18 panels in 45 minutes. Felix, Mus, Menander, Iusta, Damon, and the town of Herculaneum guest star in Siegfried, Notes From a War Story, and Monster. Damon wants a big sword.
