Chapter IV: CCLXIII
Newly minted emperor of Rome at the time of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, Titus worked hard to meet the needs of his citizens in the aftermath–travelling to the area, arranging for aid and distribution of funds–and during a series of other disasters early in his reign.
There will be an extra comic tomorrow (Thursday).
Hail Helvius, survivor of the Great Eruption. I see he’s still hard at work! Treating Mus I hope.
That darned Hippocratic Oath. Once he’s there, Helvius has to do actual work, not hang around carousing with the prince.
But if anyone can save someone with hopeless injuries, it’s Helvius.
Physical injuries, I mean. Domitian’s mental ailments may be untreatable.
I am so confused about where everyone is (or, er, isn’t!) geographically right now. Wish I had a map of the entire area, like the city map from earlier. (Hint!) (heh)
Maybe something like this? 😀
You probably meant something zoomed in on a little more detail, though.
Actually maybe less detail at that location, and more of a “who made it out and who didn’t” sort of thing. But this is just my feeble brain unable to figure out what and when things happened. 🙂 Maybe everyone else is solid on these things!
I’ll see if I can come up with something more self-explanatory 🙂 The little infographic might actually include most of the “regular” folks who made it out, though….
