A note as of today
Readers have been waiting a very long time for the ending of Chapter IV, which is so close (but has been “close” been for months and months). I have to say I’m not sure it will be finished or if I can go back to the story. I don’t know, friends.
Come on… come oooooon- you can do it.
A friend (the amazing Alitha Martinez) sat me down today to convince me to go back to the story, and I don’t think she’s going to stop until I do. I’m still not sure, but I appreciate the encouragement, both online and off. Thanks, Wendy.
I know the feeling. I’d be a little sad if this never finished, but if you can’t write and draw this anymore, that’s how it is.
One particular person inspired this entire story to happen, and it’s hard to think about it without thinking about that person. Which is a confusing explanation, and isn’t really why the hiatus has been so long, only why it’s difficult to imagine picking it back up again. The wonderful Lindsey Davis (author of the Falco mysteries) expressed a similar feeling about not being able to continue her novels (though of course there’s much more Falco than Felix out there in the world). Thank you for being understanding. I’m still just not sure about it all.
