OH MY GOODNESS MUS WITH HAIR AND FEELINGS HES SO GROW UP!!😭😭
🙂 Felix can still beat him in a beard-growing contest, but he’s getting there….
Come to think of it, there’s a bit of a shadow on Mus’s upper lip, isn’t there?
An artfully placed amount, yes 🙂

That shoe is gorgeous! I want a pair.
I saw one of those bronze hands in the British Museum (I think that’s where). I remember going back several times to stare at how weird and intriguing it was.
You can’t have a pair. sorry, but they only found one.
Rats. I’ll have to hop.
beware of ill-fitting Roman shoes.
I hate the thought of Mus getting the D brand.
Felix would have a lot to say about that before letting THAT happen….
I really like that dagger on the table. Some thing really never change and good knife design is one of ’em.
I have just such a piece of ancient cutlery among my prized possessions. I have so far been able to resist trying to use it on a loaf of bread or a sausage.
I don’t suggest this for your prized cutlery – but here’s a tip you may find useful. Any non-stainless knife blade can be coated with plain yellow mustard, wrapped in a plastic bag (recycled!) and left overnight to create a patina on the metal. Wash off the mustard, look to see if a 2nd coat may be useful and repeat if you like. At end, you’ll have a blade that’s etched w/a patina and looks old, rather than shiny new. Wash, dry, rub w/some oil and et voila, your $10 new knife looks like a $2000 old knife to the untrained eye.
I have mustard!
I love science experiments that tie into archaeology somehow (or, in this case, antiquities forgery…? 😀 )
