Sketch of the day: daily watercolour #4
I let this dry a few days before going back to it so I could try layering paint. In the meantime I seem to have forgotten how I was doing the ponytail so that style could be continued for the rest of her hair. Lots of tweaking and changing is still in progress.
Still, every time I think I’ve pushed the paper too far with corrections and new layers, it puts up with me.
I love the rich and complex colors you give her hair.
Thank you! I’ve been sorta collecting colours that blend together well to paint her hair (which, not-so-secret secret, was originally going to be light brown until one of the readers joked about her being the little red-haired girl (and more-secret secret, the red was going to be a subtle henna dye that began to fade once she no longer had Spendusa to do her hair, but I changed my mind about that too along the way 🙂 )). I’ve never forgotten a red-haired friend of in school telling about how a hairdresser complimented her on how her (natural) red hair had been so cleverly dyed to include so many shades 😀
Pretty and simple. Well, simpler than this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_hairstyles#/media/File:Matronalivia2.jpg
Well, the hairdresser will be the next one to visit the house, so anything could happen. Damon did set up an appointment with her, too, before he got caught stealing jewellery.
